Now the boys are in Brazil and resting sorry training onthe beach.I would like to offer this to the FA who lavish money on these jaunts.Pull out of the Brazil World Cup and save some money.You will be home early anyway.
Why you ask,Well since 1966,everything has improved,we have the Prem League,better grounds,better training facilities,bwetter boots better shirts better diets pitches are superb.Everything is better except one thing.Not one player was better than his counterpart in the 1966 team.Johnson or Cohen,Cole or Wilson,Cahil or Charlton,Jakielka or Bobby Moore,Rooney or Sir Geoff,Bally or Walcott,are you getting the picture..
Wembley grass is beautiful and so it should be what with all the manure Hodgson puts on it every game.

Sadly, I think you are right. I really can't see England doing anything at Brazil, and that's if they qualify. I don't think they will even entertain.
We are a workmanlike average side with a reasonable defence and midfield, but no strikers of international quality
