A would be bike thief got his just desserts earlier when he fell head first from the bike he was trying to steal.
Bike was returned and he was left bleeding on the pavement, until he ran off.
The police have been informed.

Years ago I'd someone try nicking my bike. Left in a high gear, gears crashed, he came down on the toptube from standing on the pedals.
Bike recovered, would be thief left on floor after removal from bike.

I got the bike back, he got more than I'd have been allowed to do. Bike was undamaged as well.
