International Spare Rib Day

Today is March 1st, or more importantly International spare rib Day.

To celebrate this, Mrs Aud and myself will be going down to The Happy Locust (our local chinese take away) with the following order at around 5.45 tonight :-

1 x Special chow Mein
1 x Spare ribs in Manderin Sauce
1 x Chicken skewers
1 x Pork dumplings.


Any one wants anything, add it to the list

I'd love to be able to eat Chinese food but since the 'secret' ingredient (secret as in 'known to everyone') is Monosodium Glutamate and that has horrendous effects on me, I'll have to give that a very wide swerve, thanks. Oh, and anything to do with pig. I refuse to eat pork. Not for religious or health reasons, just 'cos it gives me tooth ache followed pretty quickly by stomach ache. I don't think we humans were ever meant to eat pig.

Not in a Chinese restaurant you won't! The last one I went to on a company thing were alerted to the fact I couldn't eat MSG so promised they'd only bring foodstuffs without the vile stuff in and what a fine repast that was! It consisted of cabbage soup and a bread roll as I recall. And I still got blighted as the stuff must have been contaminated by association.
