Do you mean by 'people person' that they should have good empathy, or at least show some...?

Perhaps a phantom ache or pain may be commented upon and you would get some sort of sympathetic reaction from someone who can empathise to your point of view on it.. Like Mort says, you get the drift in general by instinct most times.

Ask how much time they spend on internet forums and social media sites. If its a long time on many sites they are not a people person :biggrin:

I find the best questions are giving people a scenario and asking them what they would do in that situation. You can invent all srts of scenarios to find out about people's personalities.

Do they make eye contact and can they engage in 'social' small talk at the start and end of the interview/selection process.
It would be a bit unfair to look for those traits, since they are common spectrum traits. And someone on the high end of the spectrum would possibly be ideal for proof reading.
