Does anyone know of the availability of a" pay as you go" for an ipad internet access in France? l was told that its easily available but after making a few inquires it would seem that its not as simple to acquire as l had hoped.

Also you might want to look at t-mobile in the UK - buy a data SIM and then get the Europe Internet Booster

Yes people think that the rest of Europe is like the UK - where you can buy a PAYG SIM in supermarkets - unfortunately that isn't so.

If you're only going for a short trip, WiFi may be the better option - free WiFi is widely available even if like me, you never go anywhere near a town large enough to have a McDonalds.
