iPhone extend battery life

Hi you good people.

Went out last week on my furthest road distance (40 miles). Keen to push further but I noticed when I got home, ride took 3 hours and my iPhone 5 battery was low (used Walkmeter to track ride).

Can anyone recommend a gadget that can power the iPhone on longer journeys? I did do a search but I could only find a dynamo that replaces the wheels hub, but that seems like too much hassle to me.

Not sure what your iPhone is recording but there are some pretty good deals on Garmin Edge cycle computers.

Yes, should have added that if your having to pay £70 for a battery pack (plus mount and waterproof? case costs) why not do it properly and get a cheap Garmin?

I have the gamin 200 its a great unit but I also have an s3 on the bars for navigation etc

i only use my s3 if im super lost or have to answer my wifes ringing of where am i

No wife but that's why I have it I got really lost 1day sans phone now it travels with me
