iPhone fingerprint ID help please..

I tried to set up the fingerprint ID access on my 5s using my nose end as well as fingerprints so I could access my phone without having to take my gloves off whilst out on a ride.
So far, all I’ve managed to do is make the screen smeary!
Anyone else tried this with any success?

You can use more than your finger. But a cold nose may not be one of them.

See if the manual has more information. If it’s an iPhone with fingerprint technology you might find one in the British Museum?

Use the passcode instead.

Human (and dog) noses were included in the 7 non-finger things!

The latest IPhones unlock with face recognition.

I’ll call them and ask!

I was unaware that everyone had individual nose prints. You learn something new every day.
I don’t know if we do

Have you considered those gloves that are touchscreen compatible? Might be a good compromise for using the passcode. I would imagine that nose prints are a) not what the fingerprint ID designers had in mind when designing the phone, and b) are perhaps more variable due to noses getting hot/cold and more oily than fingerprints tend to.

Interesting. I suggest you stop being so northern and buy an X with face recognition.

I am a certified independent iPhone reviewer famed for my balanced and neutral position. And my verdict is that it’s awesome and anyone who has one is awesome.

Hang on, if I can remember into the distant past when The Spice Girls we’re in the charts, microwaves were new technology and @User14044 had just celebrated his 80th birthday, didn’t iPhone 5 have the ability to access the camera from the lock screen. You just swiped up from an icon at the bottom pre unlocking?
