I've done them both
TPT east to west over a week last year & C2C west to east in 2 1/2 days this year. Personally I prefered the C2C, a little harder with more hills, but far better scenery. Do them both, you won't regret it

are all worrthwhile alternatives W2W and Hadrians are better than C2C in my opionion can't vouch for the Trans Pennine or Reivers yet.
