3 falls in 9 days,

1. my first day with spd's - dopey moment trying to make a decision at the lights. yeah in a skirt in front of a bus load of people

2. big snow skid - very sore neck and bum

3. too cocky on slightly icy roads, lost control and pebble dashed onto the pavement - some nice trophy bruises though, looking forward to showing them off in swimming club, wheel buckled to buggery so its in the shop.

so do people beleive in things happening in 3's or do you think that falling off projects negative thoughts of falling off again and the you actually do?

I think coming off three times might focus your riding with a greater sense of care over the coming days even weeks and you're very unlikely to come off again.
Unless you ride like a loony.

I came off three times in three weeks or so last year for various reasons and I was a very careful cyclist for quite a while. So long that I thought I'd permanently lost my bottle.

because..... I wear skirts, when I got my racer I tried to be all casual chic like,I mean I have reigned myself in but I was commuting to work its only 7 miles and hardly worth a change of clothing its a casual skirt so..... I can't justify myself.

I REALLY love my bruises, I have to stop short of taking my tights off in public and showing them off, hence swiimming club excitement.

I once came off the bike at speed when I hit some diesel on the road.
Most of the impact was taken on my left hip which then had a huge bruise in the shape of Africa with all the different colours(almost)representing the different countries.
It was a big hit at parties, while it lasted
