Put it this way GBS I have just started riding fixed at 56 (57 in a couple of weeks) and I hope still to be riding fixed when Im 68!

Good technique - just don't go grinding gears everywhere.

Fixies are just fantastic and easy to ride once you can get used to setting off and getting clipped in ! I even now enjoy going down hills which at first were a challenge in there own right,go for it ! You won't be dissapointed

of course not. just make sure your gear in inches is less than your age in years.

We've got a 90 year old youngster in our club. He rides fixed occasionally. He'd think you were a whipper snapper. Just go for it. You won't be disappointed.
