Is it worth upgrading my groupset?

hello folks!
I find myself thinking about changing my groupset. I currently have campag Avanti on a 96-97 Condor road bike. would it be worth shelling out some hundreds of quids on something like a centaur or Athena set? Or just not bother?

If it works fine than stick with it - nothing worse than putting modern stuff on and spoiling that period feel!

Definitely. In fact maybe get a different set of wheels, as I've seen those go for daft money on Ebay.
