If you have not yet seen the email and would like to stay on the Saga Ruby to sample the sights, sounds and silver service dining experience on this exclusive luxurious cruise ship, please see details below.

The ship will depart from Dover at 1500 hours on Wednesday 17th June and arrive in Newcastle at 1200 hours on Thursday the 18th June.

Prices are for this exclusive event are £150pp to £225pp

These amazing prices include,
  • Overnight accommodation
  • Full board — afternoon tea, dinner, breakfast and lunch
  • UK mainland travel by standard class rail only between the home station and Dover and Newcastle

So - a one way cruise to Newcastle with a bunch of bevvied up crinklies. All for £150. Unfortunately I'd have to go on my own - my better half is too young to taste the delights of Saga. So, Cycle Chatters...is this a good idea?

And how old do you have to be then?

I once rang up SAGA insurance and they said they wouldn't cover me as I was too young. Can you still do this under the law?

you have to be 50. I've no idea on the legality thing, though.

The price includes trainfares from and to wherever - so it's quite a bargain, especially when you take in to account that Saga travellers can drink their own weight in sherry!

I know. I used to get force fed it by my nan and never liked it. Stuffed chine was more my kind of thing.

Haslet and Branston Pickle sandwiches - yum! (Except I'm now vegetarian...)

That's funny , I have my car insured through them and they haven't invited me.

I had to look up haslet .. how to do all pronounce it , seems there's a confusing choice of ways

I think it may be worth it to stump up the cash, and go.

My reasoning....?

Well, when each of us reaches 'a ripe old age', we, apparently spend lots of time reminiscing......

....with this trip, it'll allow you to have a premonition, of what your reminiscing will be like, and you'll have time then, to change your life.....

That's gotta be worth it......
