Someone mentioned to me yesterday that their daughter's health had improved since they stopped using wi-fi in their home. They reckoned wi-fi was knackering her immune system. I've heard this kind of stuff before so decided, out of interest, to google it and see what I could find.

It seems their is no real evidence either way. A lot of anecdote and bad science debunking but nothing you'd call scientific. It's clear that there's a lot of radiation about (I use the term very loosely to include everything radiated - radio waves, heat, sound; any form of energy) so I guess the question really is which of it is harmful to us.

Can anyone point me in the direction of something resembling science on the subject?

Well that is me screwed. I can see from my kitchen laptop 5 other wifi signals. The folk downstairs have a faster connection and have not put security on it, so I regularly use their connection.

which is actually illegal, although how you'd detect and prove it after the fact, i'm not sure.

Worth knowing that is illegal, my son was very tempted to put security on it as they have not changed the default password.

it's about as true as that the illuminati are trying to control the way you think using mobile phone signals.

This stuff is in the S and C Microwave bands. Specifically a fair bit of WiFi uses the 2.4GHz band which is where the alarm bells start ringing in people's heads. Many, many things use microwave radiation, it is the intensity which really matters. It can be anything from high intensity coming out of a magnetron in a microwave oven to the very low intensity Cosmic Background radiation that is belting around the universe from every direction.
