Is Wiggle still considered iffy?

I've just discovered that the CTC shop is run by Wiggle. In the past forum members have flagged up Wiggle as a potential risk when using credit/debit cards to buy on-line. Anyone know what the latest is on this?

I've never found them iffy, or had any problems with my card details.

The only problem I had was that I was un-able to remove my card details from my account despite there being a button to do so.

I haven't used Wiggle in a while though, Chain reactions is often cheaper, even with a discount.

I ordered my bib shorts from them a week ago, all seemed fine. Got a packet of sweets aswell.

Used wiggle loads of times without any problems and never ever had any sweets.

However I tend to use chain reaction more now as they are generally cheaper.

I paid through Paypal but ordered Assos items - I checked on Assos' main website where there was a warning regarding fakes or de-warranted items - Wiggle weren't listed as an authorised dealer and when the parcel arrived the barcodes etc had been cut out so they were selling Assos items illlegitimately. Returned the item in the end but got refunded. Did get the sweets though but bit dodgy in respects to the branded stuff- makes me question how they obtain their stock.

But I've never had as much as a single free sodding jellybean out of them either!

I've only had one order without a gift and am now a 'platinum' member, apparently, even got a nice little bottle opener:evil:

Never had a problem with Wiggle. The only *potential* problem I've had is that they used to use normal postal delivery. Then for a while, stuff started being delivered by a courier. This is crap for me, as living in the sticks, if the courier calls & there's no one at home, I'd have a 50+ mile round trip to the courier depot to collect. Whereas with the normal post, it's an eight mile round trip to the post office to collect.

You can get free gifts from wiggle?! Never happened to me either, but I do shop around. Spa Cycles in Harrogate are good, I often find there tyres cheaper. Marathon Plus are only £19.00!
