I am just about to look at/buy a second hand Islabike for my 7 year old granddaughter. Are there any tips and wringles I should be aware of re children's bikes?

With Islabikes, just look for obvious damage.
General wear and tear are perfectly acceptable so things like cable rub marks, the odd paint chip, scuffed pedals etc are all signs of a bike that has been used and probably loved.
Dont pay more than £250 for a 3(ish) year old bike - but be prepared to sell it for almost the same amount 3 years down the line
