I love riding my MTB in snowy conditions.

Road bikes however.... Damn those skinny tyres with no tread!!

I went to Winchelsea and Hastings on Thursday and was amazed at the size of the drifts along the roads.:cold:

As long as I breathe, I attack.
looks similar my commute atm
Monday i had to get off and walk in a few sections as it had drifted and the plough had been through leaving 1 lane open but a layer of compacted snow on the open part.
By today the back roads were rideable but they still had drifts like yours either side .
Nearly lost it when i hit a patch of ice yesterday on the cycle path i use , not to much fun as it runs alongside a busy dual carriageway with no dividers and i could have easily ended up under a lorry.
I have ridden my road bike all week as my "free bike " needed new tyres but when i told mrs ck that i needed to sort it out ( i already have the tyres) she threw a paddy about how i always want to do something bike related so i thought "stuff you if i fall off and break something i know who to blame "
