I've just totted up the figures to next Tuesday in Metcheck. 60mm. Where's the Oyster card?

Yes - I've bussed it twice this week to avoid soakings and am planning to do it next week too if its as bad as they're making out. Quite an established routine now packing the rucksack each night not knowing whether I'm biking or bussing the next morning. It's a quick change from cycling use to bus commuting mode - just lose the waterproof cover and get the bus ticket, phone and mp3 player ready for the bus ride.

Must be getting soft in my advancing years. Rain wouldn't have bothered me a few years back, but nowadays the thought of cold, soaking kit and a soaking bike to sort out at the start of the working day makes me shudder.

I haven't got a turbo - when it rains, I have to walk a lot more to and from the bus stop so that has to do for substitute exercise.
