It's June and there's snow.

Was coming down from Alston in Cumbria yesterday and I noticed a white substance on the hill tops. At first, I assumed it was an optical illusion caused by bright sunlight coming through a low, white cloud base but it wasn't. All the fell tops had a fairly heavy coating of snow. Cross Fell especially looked very wintery. It looked and felt more like January than June but then again, that Scottish weather girl off BBC news is always stingy with the warmth and sunnyness.

I'm having similar optical problems. The solid wall of water descending from the skies is preventing me from seeing what the weather is doing here today.
