Bloody Acorns!
A bit of wind last night, and this morning they're everywhere.
Riding to work in the dark and pouring rain this morning, you can see millions of the little critters glistening off your lights.
You can't avoid them, they're all over the road. And it's too early for the traffic to have squashed them.
Just hold on and hear them popping away under your wheels!!

I am getting mainly chestnuts on my route. Those spiny cases make me wonder if the p fairy is rubbing her hands in anticipation.

Lots of wet leaves now, although the fallen branches are more of a hazard with this strong wind.

A former colleague was walking his bike in to Hebden Bridge railway station when he slipped on wet leaves and broke his pelvis! I've been extra careful on them since then...
