It's winter and I'm bored

I would like to convert my Dawes Mono to a disc brake .What is the best way to do this .
I've spent load on the dynamo with disc brake holes . So which are the best forks to go for
and brake set . I was going to go for cable . My fork choice was Kenesis DC 19. Everyone as sold out
Are there any good steel ones .
