i've got the flu, no commute

just been to the docs, and he said i have the flu!! bummer!!!
this is the first time i have had the flu and it dont half take you down!!!
so no commute for me this week, off work.

Well there's the common cold and there's the flu, if you've had the latter you won't forget it any time soon, you'll be laid up in bed for a week at least, not got the energy to get up! Not a pleasant experience you have my sympathies!

thats what i have, cant get up or have no energy at all. no matter how fit you think you are, the flu will drop you like a sack of spuds!!

Not nice - lots of pain killers - mix and match the ibuprofen and paracetamol - i.e. paracetamol, 2 hours late ibuprofen, 2 hours later paracetamol.....etc.........

I had my flu jab this week, so I should be Ok for that.

But I was too ill to go to work today cause of a chest infection I've been dealing with.

I'll be OK tomorrow.

Never had the flu here either.. Amazes me how many people get the sniffles and try to say they've got the flu.

Taken day-off as it's the lads Inset day today... double bummer, we were off to Pompey to see the Victory.
Eldest daughter was knocked-ot for nearly a week.
Worst though, now my undercarriage has healed after my snip I was looking forward to Sunday's monthly Freewheeling ride ...

Luckily I've only had the flu once and that was when I was living and working in the UK, it really knocked me sideways and it took quite a while to fully recover!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know the feeling, I am back at work after the flu (2.5 weeks off) and still have an amount of post viral fatigue. I normally use the train on the way in and cycle all the way home. I will be using the train all this week! In terms of the cycling, if I was an 8 cylinder engine before the flu, then 7 cylinders are "missing" at the moment....
