I don't do either, we have painted walls and if it was up to me then Christmas decorations would be banned. But it's not up to me and so my wife hangs them (in November ).
There are two things guaranteed to get me and my wife bickering. The first is wallpapering, the second is putting up the Christmas decorations and tree. It seems I am always doing it all wrong!

We started the second this morning and I have to get out of the house for a calming ride before I go loopy.
Seriously, my advice is just let her do it the way she wants to do it. Learn to let go, enjoy whatever the outcome, the relationship is more valuable than how the wall paper or Christmas tree look like.

I have got to get out for a ride too. Because I am a grumpy coo
Not decorating problems, Christmas or otherwise. I just need to get out. The wind would be pretty much at my back all the way to Ipswich so if the rain holds off, I'll go and meet Hubster before I really get cranky through lack of riding.

Wish I had read this earlier today as my wife was doing the decorations as well but because it looked so awful outside I could not motivate myself to get out n the bike.
So this evening I have fitted the lights filled the water bottle and will be out on the road cold wet or otherwise 5.30 - 6 am in the morning. I can't wait.
