Newly surfaced roads are like ice when damp, lots of roadies complaining. I was glad I was on the tourer with a bit more rubber in contact with the ground.

Grew up around that area but never got to cycle it as I moved away and only recently started cycling...will come back up and attempt some of the tasty routes (may regret that later). I spent my childhood moaning about the area I grew up in (actually went for the university I chose because it was the furthest away I could possible be!) and it's only later in life I realise that I was so lucky to have grown up in such a beautiful area!!!
