That's it.

I'll be riding to work tomorrow. Had enough of the bus after two weeks, plus 5 weeks sick, so time for the bike. I'll be taking the MTB though, and use the Trans Pennine Way until I get the all clear.

It's been taking upto 90 minutes, door to door, on the bus to go the direct (short) route into work - I can ride it in under 25 minutes.

Looks like Mon/Tues will be wet, with improving weather towards the weekend.

Good lad

You'll love it. Hopefully your (relative) lack of cycle specific fitness won't pish you off.

Arrived fine, if a but mud splattered. Pleasant ride - last time I did this route it was snow and ice !

Orders were from Physio - i.e. avoid falling off or commuting. Have been out on the bike since two weeks after the op, but not when there has been traffic about.

Can't have lost too much fitness. Scalped a roadie on my mud covered MTB going up the A560 from Stockport...ahem. Thought my road kit (i.e. lycra and overshoes) might have given me away though .
