Covid is still a "thing". Never in news but it seems it's still around. Daughter is a physician associate says in a ward for elderly 3 out of 4 bays were all COVID cases.

I think it will always be around, but is now not very much more of a general threat than flu. And vaccinations will be on similar criteria as they are for flu - the elderly and vulnerable get them automatically, others can pay if they want them.

All better now!

Only took best part of 3 weeks. I was okay-ish after 2 but this nagging cough and sore throat just would not go. Longest I've ever been ill. I've lived a charmed life.

No over the counter spray been tried for the sore throat? I was given Benzydamine Hydrochloride for the sore throat after a seizure.
I got some benzy-something-or-other with added lidocaine. Sadly, only temporary relief.

I'd pretty much forgotten all about it so it came as quite as shock when I tested positive. Tbh, I just thought I had some kind of lurgy. I didn't even know there was Covid still around! t was only because we had a test kit in the house that I even tested myself. No idea where I caught it but my guess is when we went away for a couple of days, to a big town where we mingled more that we would ordinarily. I've learnt my lesson - in future, I'm staying put in my germ free rural idyll!

Bye
