Completed !!!

phew.......

well, that was difficult, the last 3-4 miles especially hard, felt a little wobbly and i was a bit faint at one point, i did feel my left hamstring twinge a couple of times... i thought something was going to "go" on the last uphill climb though.

I can say it was harder than i thought it was going to be, however i did it on my hardrock sport MTB do i get extra kudos for that by the way ?

well going to get a bath now and think about my next ride !

i will increase the distance by a couple of miles before i tackle the 100 miler !

Congratulations. You definitely get extra kudos from me for doing the 50M on a MTB . I think the next ride will be the harder one and then they will become progressively easier. enjoy that bath :-)

Oh no, I should have mentioned that I did my first 100 last week on a mountain bike, lost out on all those extra points!

Well done to you tho, you could always go for 100 km next, then it's only a small step up to the 100 miles!!!
