I am not allowed out after dark

So the court order is still in force? I thought it had lapsed.

Ah, Sara, I keep using the dark park (well, some bits are lit 24/7 so not completely dark) all year round.
I figure that not even the most determined lurker can stand the Scottish winter weather long enough for me to appear at random.
My park isn't lit at all, and I fear there is funny business going on in there during the evening - more youths up to skullduggery than dedicated cyclist murderers, but them youths can be a bit bothersome when they decide to make a target of someone, can't they?

How do the youths see if there's no lights??
Only kidding, if you don't feel safe, avoid!

You're eyes get used to the lower light level.
OR they could be that used to doing "it" they really are doing it with their eyes shut!
Anyone doing a closed eyes "it" in a park has no interest in attacking passing cyclists!

My commute goes through an unlit park and down the river and working twilight shifts I sometimes feel a bit crazy riding through the darkness at 5:30am or 10:30pm, but I see some interesting wildlife sometimes

I think I'll test out the road route next week so I at least have an alternative.

My winter route's different simply because the side roads and back routes don't get gritted.
It's slightly longer and a smidgen hillier, and all on main traffic routes but only bothered about the latter, especially in the snow.
