Well since the spring sportive, I've done no distance work at all, just commuting (8.5 miles each way), and what I did on the MTB in Scotland on holiday (longest 13 miles but all up hill!).
I'm entered in the Ringwood Rattler in August (78miles), but shifts and weather (mainly shifts) keep stopping the leisure milage.
So today I've entered muself in the Meon Sportive next Sunday (only the 55mile route though). Nothing like a little pressure to get you going, now rain or shine I have to get some distance work in tomorrow!

What is it about these sportives that just make you feel as if you haven't trained hard enougth?
Did the 57 miles route in 3 hours 41 minutes (I wanted 3:30), just found that on every hill I lost the legs, and had to slow down. After the Spring Sportive I added a long grinding hill, and a short sharp shock of a hill on my commute, and have been flying up them (well not flying, but doing them with ease). I even did Blissford hill last weekend (25%).
Oh well more hill training needed before the Rattler.
