What a great community this is!

On our ride today, I thought of you lot and said to Teenage Son,that if it wasn't for your support, enthusiasm,Your Ride Today thread,I probably would still be pottering just to and from work and around town/local rides.

But reading the forum,I've been inspired to get further afield and ride further than I ever thought I could/would.Ok,I've also eaten a few more cakes/had a few more cups (or pints!) of tea/coffee than I usually do - that I also blame you all for!!!!

Just want to say Thanks for all the advice, encouragement, cake stop advice etc!

Oh and thanks for helping me spend my wages and get a decent bike!!!!!!

glad your getting the miles in..
if i may ask...in the pic you posted in Your Ride Today..i noticed your seat is very low?
Do you have it set so you can put your feet on the floor while sat on the bike?

If you do you may find its a lot less tiring on the legs if you set the seat so your legs are almost straight when your riding. Often people set the seat low as it feels safer when stoping but causes so much stress on knees and muscles..

have a look at the link, apologies if your seat is ok ,it just seems low in relation to your bars.

happy cycling
