Lovely and warm today with bright sunshine. I was late out of work and riding up my steepest bit of hill, passed a lady with a tiny pug, panting its tongue off.
Being friendly and a dog person I said, its a steep hill for such little legs & she told me she was trying to find him some water as she'd not realised how long a walk it was.
No water in my bottle so I rolled off and left her, knowing there's a couple of pubs a mile up the road, I dropped into one, filled my bottle and rode back to her and handed it over.
Hopefully she had enough to keep her and the wee pooch comfortable until she got there too.
