Whenever I hear Mr Kelly on Eurosport with that voice, I always imagine him as being this grizzled old thing with a bit of facial hair, not the guy in the pictures!

Sean is a tough bloke and that's Phil Liggett on the left.

Sean Kelly is good bloke (and slightly younger than me). He was one of the hardest of the hard men in the peloton, but you'd see him chatting to the fans long after the others had gone to the comfort of their hotel rooms.

Seems to have an interesting rod-actuated front brake that acts on the tyre. In addition to a (retro-fitted?) rear brake and Kelly's own mighty legs.

Kelly has retro-fitted legs?
I notice they didn't employ an "arse up" stance in those days (whenever they were). Fair play to him though, I avoid the gentlest of slopes on my older bikes - and they've got gears!
