Kickstands

I started a topic in the accessories section but I have been advised to post here instead.

I have an Old (1992) Holdsworth racing bike which I have bought a couple of months ago and adapted for my own general use (panniers and such). Over the weekend I fitted a set of mudguards for improving wet weather comfort. I have found through that I cannot get the wheel to go on or off with both the rear mudguard and kickstand in place as the kickstand pushes the guard into the way of the wheel.

So I have had to remove the kickstand to get everything fitting properly.

I am now looking for a kickstand that mounts onto the rear stay, out of the way of the mudguard. Anyone know where I can get one?

Cheers,

Tom.

Have a look at sjscycles.co.uk
I got my kickstand from there; it attaches to the rear chain/seat stay.

Would this be any good? It says that it fits normal sized round and oval frames, mine is made of 531 tubing.

Yep. I've got one just like that and my chainstay is oval. Need to faff around with rubber liners to ensure if doesn't scratch frame but equally is tight enough.
