Wanna spot a considerate lorry driver?

Let them overtake you and offer a little flash as they clear your front end, those that pull in and give a wave of their indicators (left-right-left-right sort of thing) are usually pretty considerate. Those that don't....usually aren't

Isn't that something all lorry (and some van drivers) do to one another...so that they can pull in sooner?

Once you've driven a long vehicle, or anything towing a trailer, you appreciate any help you get with knowing when you're clear of the vehicle you've overtaken - the back end can be very difficult to judge clearly.

When I was driving big vans and small trucks for a job, I really felt part of the 'community' the first few times I flashed to let someone know they were clear, or flashed indicators to thank someone for flashing me.

It's like, as two of my colleagues said, you know you're grown up when you pull up in your vehicle and the brakes go "ker-shiiisssssssssh".
