Goddamit!

Spent all evening trying to install Kodak Easyshare software so that I can use the docking printer I've have squirrelled away somewhere to print some photos.

Problem is the kodak software is not installing properly and it keeps kickstarting and conflicting with the wizard on the Polar bike computer software as it launches that each time. Basically unistalled the Kodak software to try and reinstall it and have just noticed that it's completely removed all my Polar programmes including all my cycling data over nearly two years....!!

How do I get the Kodak installed correctly - if I can't I'll have to pay for prints (bugger) as I need them for something important and the other side though I doubt I can- is there any way to retrieve the Polar stuff...gutting

If you can remember the name of the file, you might be able to find it with some data recovery software, which will scan your hard disk to see what it can find.

Don't run it if you are feeling a little paranoid, as you'll realise just how many files you thought you had deleted but which are still perfectly accessible.

I think that http://www.snapfiles.com/get/pcinspector.html is the one I've used previously, but have a little Google to see what others think. One thing is to do it fairly soon, as the more time that you leave it, the more chance that Windows will overwrite an important sector, losing you the chance to recover the file.
