I need your advice.Today i looked like Norah Batty,the tights were baggy and falling down.The legs i can work on.But i need to shorten the straps on me Altura Night Vision bib longs.I don't want to tie two knots in them.But the straps are like holy webbing.How can i shorten them by two inches .I can't see how i can stitch them because of the holes.Any serious and not serious comments welcome.

if you want to shorten the straps why not tie a knot in them ? then you can undo it when you sell them and buy the next size down?

It's probably 10 years since I went there, and there were a lot of students there but if you could get there early enough to grab a corner in one of the little nooks and crannies, it was still quite a nice pub to visit***.

It must be 20 years since we were in there, we used to like the little nooks and corners. Living in the upper end of Holbrooks we tend to only get into the city centre about once a week for shopping, for many years we were in Earlsdon and could just walk into the city centre.

That pub does look strangely familiar to me, but when I was down there, we always seemed to end up at the Wertherspoons, 'The Flying Standard' I think. It had a name that was to do with the cars that used to be built in Coventry anyway.
Was the pub in question round the corner from the Cathedral, or am I thinking of another one??

Unfortunately cycling tights tend to be made for people who are long and thin, I'm short and stout, even as a young fella I would have struggled to look good in tights, I've been cultivating the Norah Batty look for several winters now.
