Just discovered these on the iPhone app. Put in the name of an artist or band and select their radio station, you then get a stream of songs from that artist and others in the same(ish) genre.
A great way of discovering new stuff or reminding you of old stuff from years ago. Listening to the Billy Bragg channel now (prompted by a mention of St Swithins Day in another thread), and have heard The Go-Betweens, Gene, The Lemonheads, Half-Man Half-Biscuit, The Jam, Steve Earle, Phil Ochs, Aztec Camera and Camper Van Beethoven !

Love it !

I'm a big fan of last.fm too. Been using it regurlarly for about three years now. It's great for finding new (to me) music.

The best feature IMO is when you type in the name of a band/artist you know and like there comes a list of artists similar to them. This list of similar artists is calculated from actual listeners listening habits. You can then, very often, hear free 30 sec snippets of their tracks and decide if you like it.

As i play most of my music thru the pc i also get a record of what i've been listening to.

My user-profile is Stephenite if anyone would like to befriend me :hello:

http://www.last.fm/user/telent says I've had an account since 2004 (and my profile pic on the site was old event then...).

I would like to downplay the prominence of the Snow Patrol and Killers trackss in my profile: they're not my favourite artists, just the only bands that my wife also likes ...

I used to listen to the radio stations aaaaaaages ago, but I found that they often played the same bands over and over. I kicked the habit a couple of years ago I think, so maybe it's got better since then.
