Good to see that the German pork butchers have not entirely abandoned their trade in the north east. Darlington, my home town, lost its last one twenty years ago.

Cool! Those maps are really good and the info they have with them is just the job. Be sure to get the addendums as well ...I did arrive at a couple of places marked still on the maps but removed in the addendums.

If you have a gps you can download all of those as gpx track files from the aca site for free, but you will need USA maps installed. I found these useful in any built up areas...mostly I just followed the red line right across the states...never got lost once thanks to those maps and the gpx files.

They arrived with updates but the updates will need updates by the time I go.

I keep putting things off so that I don't worry about being able to pay for stuff but it means life is passing me by... good on you Vern and BoaB for getting out and doing it.

I'd like to do the York FNttC ride but never get myself geared up for them and commit myself.

I had to google NTCR. Wow! What a trip that'll be. How long will it take? Will you go on your own?
