Have not done a project for a bit, so, I thought I d start my touring rig for next year.

The idea is to build it as cheap and light as possible.

Main components Being my old Fuji steelite mtb frame and my Wildebeast mtb trailer both brought out of mothballs.

The rig should go sub 30lbs and 27-28lbs is what Im aiming at. The Wildebeast s payload is 70lbs.

Parts so far have been sourced from my spares bin Only need a right shifter and cables to complete, Wheels are mavic 517s on Dt 240 hubs And a nice Midleburn crank I forgot I had.

Maybe some nice butterfly bars would be better than the straight ones you have at moment, but the rig looks ok thus far.

Um, with a loaded trailer wouldn't two brakes be a good idea? Or am I missing something?

the righthand control cluster ie, brakes and shifters..LOL

I think you need to re-size your pics as they take an age to open. ie 72dpi 15x10cm.

Didn t really post to Squabble about the size of pics. but there you go....

Update: just sourced a pair of deore ( new ) pods and inner and outer cables for £27.99 posted. Bargain. All ineed now is a 22 small 5 arm spider chainwheel. Anybody know where I can get a bargain ?
