Make sure what colour you go for, 3500K and above is a very stark white light, 2500K is a much warmer colour for the home....
Daylight is 6500K. 2500K is closer to the 3000K average of incandescent which is what we are used to.

I might consider it once I've got through my stock of low energy bulbs in four or five years' time.
I have yet to reach that stage of enlightenment. I still have 160 incandescent bulbs, 100w and 60w, that I bought just before the EU got bossy on that subject. I like their light quality and the way they beam it in fabric shades.

BTW, please don't get me on the subject of the (literally) sh!tty "water saving" EU WC cistern. Three flushes good, one flush bad. Sales in lavatory brushes and plumber call-outs must have gone through the roof. Hey! it's sustainable.

I've just fitted a wireless dimmer to my LED strip setup. It has some flashing modes, some of which damn near gave me an epileptic fit when it defaulted to flashing on first switch-on.
