Leicester to Cambridge - I've done it!

Yeah, big deal, I hear you say, but this is the first time I've done a ride of over 20 miles!

Route was about 85 miles, weather varied from ok to crap, but I loved the ride. Stopped a couple of times to rest/refuel and at a steady pace reached Cambridge after 6 hours. Healthwise, felt great from start to finish.

Oddly disorientating when I reached Cambridge having got there under my own steam, a place I have driven to from Leicester on many occasions.

Want to do it again!

That's a big leap up in distance, well done!

I know what you mean about it feeling odd - when I cycled to my sister's via my Mum's a few years back, arriving in Leicester by bike was very strange. And then arriving in Winchester, too. It feels like a real achievement!

Being on a bike all day, every day for a longish period is very liberating and seriously enjoyable.
