Will have some disposable income soon, and just when I thought I knew how I wanted to spend it, Lidl have a sale and temp me with their bike work stand.

Could someone who owns this, and has perhaps used it for a period of time, answer a few questions for me?

How securely does it hold a bike?
Does the bike swing in the stand?
Is it well made and durable? (What sort of materials is it made from etc)
How long does it take to put together from its most compact state?

I currently use a home made wooden work stand, however the major disadvantages of this is that it has to be held in a bench vise (which is in a crowded area of my garage), and the bike can swing on it, so it isn't particularly secure.

So now I'm torn between buying this or going clipless.

Thanks in advance!

I dont own one but ive read that the manufacturer will replace broken parts and its incredibly cheap for a workstand. Not pro quality but more than ample for home bike fixing

1. Very, but it's best when holding top tube and balancing at centre of gravity rather than seat post.
2. Yes if you want it to.
3. It's very solid. Been using mine for about a year and a half, no problems.
4. Not long, not much assembly required if I recall correctly

It's probably the best piece of kit I've ever bought from Lidl or Aldi
