Can somebody reccomend a decent lightweight full finger glove that i can wear during the warmer months for XC riding and road riding?

I have already brought a couple of pairs off ebay but they have turned out to be too thick and more like downhill gloves.

Thanks

I have a Decathlon pair which are a thick cotton with chamois leather palm and thumb protection on the wear points, in summer they may be too hot but are good for transitional months when I would be sweating in full on winter gloves. If you are near a Decathlon it might be worth a trip as they do have a fairly comprehensive range of gloves you can try on.

Specialized do some that I got from the Bargain bin in Evans a few weeks back. Just the right thickness, but could do with a little more padding on the pressure points.

The older I get, the faster I used to be ...
I use a pair of thin running gloves - eg Ron Hill, or Craft, with a pair of fingerless track mitts over. Or Glove liners (Decathlon) with mitts over, if the running gloves are too warm.

I use these Altura Progel. Great gloves with really excellent padding, but they're not cheap.

If you shop around you can get them for under £20. I've attached a pic which gives you an idea of the padding. It's pretty thick - I've had these since the end of the summer and they're still in good nick. (had to get some new ones after I melted my old endura pair on the pub fireplace - but that's irrelevant!)
My only complaint is that the left one has a small tear in the palm from when I came off rather spectacularly at the end of last year. Not a glove fault, total rider error, but better a hole in the mitt than in me!
