Litespeed Archon C3 - Mech Hanger!

Hi All

I've recently become the proud owner of a Litespeed Archon C3 (Ultegra, FSA Chainset, RS30 etc).

HOWEVER......... despite several conversations with Evans' Cycles (who I bought it from), it seems the only place I can get a mech hanger to act as a spare, is from the US of A!

I've emailed Litespeed who have them on their website for $40.00 plus shipping which is.....wait for it....$40.00!!! No doubt Miss Money Penny will charge 20% VAT on arrival in Blighty, which will result in this tiny, yet - important, piece of alloy costing... circa £60.00....UNBELIEVEABLE!!!!!

Has anyone found a shop in the UK that sell mech hangers for this bike (I understand that the same fit the C1 and C2 and also some of their titanium bikes).

It is a beautiful and fast bike, but, god help the day I fall off and need a hanger.

PLEASE HELP....ANYONE!!!

go here find the model of your hanger best to compare old hanger with the pictures - Then just google the hanger number I got mine from a bike shop down south £20 for a peice of alloy but your not gonna get them any cheaper than that if they are not common

thank you for your reply and suggestion, however, the LITESPEED hanger I require is not listed. I've resorted to placing a Review of EVANS' CYCLE support on their website.... maybe they won't publish it... but, last resort and all that!!

Has anyone else got any ideas?

Are you sure the hangers not there? It's no good searching by name you need to look at each picture? And compare with yours

Hi "Edge"... thanks again. I've scrolled through the website to no avail. Hanger #142 looks closest but not accurate enough. Ive emailed DerailleurHanger.com this morning with a link to the Litespeed website so they can see for themselves. I could buy one from LITESPEED but their $40 postage is a joke. Also chased Evans' Cycles again this morning - "it's on order - expected July 2012!!!!!!! Jeez!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that made me smile!!! I've just spoken to Customer Relations at Evans' Cycles. The lady was empathetic and would look into it.... we'll see!
