Loads of flashing lights and they still can't see me

There's never enough time to say a complete sentence in these scenarios. It all happens in a flash and they yell their abuse and drive off. It's only afterwards we think of things that we could have said. I'm always surprised how nasty people get so quickly even when they've caused the incident and get lost for words. They really wouldn't behave like this on the pavement, on the train or around the shops would they? It's only because they CAN drive off annonymously that peoples real natures show and unfortunately driving a car seems to bring out this ugly character trait.

Not just in cars, people behave similarly in newsgroups/online forums simply because the anonymity means there are no consequences to their actions.

I have posted this before...

USE Exposure Enduro Maxx, one of the brightest lights on the market.

Taxi pulls out at junction and we end up with me 6" away from door with light full on vehicle, so I ask if he couldn't see me.

He replies that he thought I was a motorbike...... so in the interests of clarification I ask if he thinks that pulling out in front of a large fast mechanical vehicle is an improvement on pulling out in front of a bicycle.

The reply.... Motorcycles have better brakes and could have stopped easier!

So from the mouth of Portsmouth's finest taxi drivers - it is up to you to stop not for him to actually respond in an appropriate way to a bright light approachingthe junction at speed!

Assuming you were riding a recumbent, this anecdote is a fail. If you'd modulated the brakes you could have left a lovely crank-shaped dent in his door, and taught one driver never to try that again.

Mrs Ck was at a T junction waiting to turn right, it was nearly 5 so very busy and the taxi driver sat behind beeping his horn i mean WTF where was she supposed to go to ?

When that sort of thing happens to me I tend to get all flustered and stall the car. Then it takes me ages to get it restarted again.

Where do I get 'em...........

I was on the way back home, from l.pool centre, when I came across a procession of some kind and those 2 where @ the front - its a pity i got the pic I did as the far bloke was better 'lighted' than whom is more visible...

Ps it was an ambulance - obviously waiting for the "healthy organ donor" .....
