Hello all.
Newbie here. Living in west London, and have been commuting into central London by bike for the last 9 or 10 months. As I'm sure I don't need to tell anyone here, it was a very long winter!.

I’ve decided I like this cycling business and intend to get more involved, learn how to do it properly etc (although at my age I really ought to know…) My current steed is a trusty but rusty old mountain bike with road tyres.

I’m now thinking the time has come to upgrade, so I’ve been reading lots here and elsewhere and plans are forming. More in due course.

Absolutely! Once the new one is in the team, I can devote more time to the maintenance and upkeep of the old one (ie without to having to put it all back together by the following morning...) That's the plan anyway.
