Apparently the route bypasses Ditchling Beacon as it's considered too dangerous in the dark. This is good news for the uphill, bad news for the downhill.

Loved it, saw the sun rise over the Sarf Dahns and beat all the day-trippers to Brighton. The start was a bit ropey - didn't get away till 01.30 but the crowd seemed good-humoured enough - we Brits love a queue!

Thanks, John. Fortunately iMovie is very easy to use, even if it does do some strange things like change typeface randomly ... I've booked onto one of the free Apple workshops to get a better idea of how to use it.
