London to Dover

Hi

Sorry if this has been asked a million times before, but I cant find anything specific.

What is the best route from central London to Dover Docks in one day? It looks on the map pretty much the A20 the whole way. It does have some big hills (for me) though and I wondered if there was an alternative.

I've just Google Mapped [cycling] and it plots: 82 miles;
Bexleyheath, Dartford, Chatham, Gillingham, Faversham, Sittingbourne, Faversham, Canterbury, Dover.
Just touching a couple of miles on the A2 before Chatham. The A2 (or even the A20) will be quicker but personally so much traffic would ruin the day. I guess getting out of the smog (london) will be slow.

Avoid the A20 if you want to live.
