London to Paris advice please

To raise money for a friend paralysed in a car crash. Two of us aree doing our own London to Paris fundraiser in March. Can anyone advise on the fastest route please. We only have timeframe of 3pm Friday depart and have to catch last eurostar back on Sunday. Thanks. Dave

A2 to Dover, ferry to Calais then N roads to Paris. Have a look at Viamichelin.com. I love cycling and cycle touring but that sounds utterly miserable to me. I would show commitment and support to your friend by investing in a day off from work (offer to take unpaid leave?) and leave on the Thursday, then plot a back route.

Thanks Jay. Time off work is a no go-even unpaid! Perversely we may get more sponsorship as it looks a tough call to do it in our timeframe. Just don't want to hit too many hills! Could do it in easter break but would be too late she is due out of hospital (in south africa) on 9th March and hope to be there with the cash!
