Hi there,
I'd like to cycle from London to Paris on my Single Speed (freewheel, not fixie). I'm pretty new to cycling, I've done a fair bit of one or two hours rides, a four hour ride to Richmond and another four hour ride to Boxhill - which went quite well despite the zigzag steep road at Boxhill. That last ride was 58 miles.
I'm planning on taking the ferry from Newhaven to Dieppe at 11pm and doing the French part on the next day. I wanted to do a return trip to Brighton as a last training before attempting the full London-Paris ride but I've run out of time since I would really like to do it next Friday.
Do you think it's too risky? Or should I go for it and - worst case - it takes me the whole day to cycle the French part (~110 miles)?
I have the impression I can do it, but perhaps I'm being over confident. What say you?
Thanks
