Long commute today

Went to another office today and decided to ride there. 26 miles. With a bloody laptop on my back and my heavy bike lock too. My feet were like lumps of ice. Coming back i arranged for somebody in a car to take my laptop, but I managed to get lost a couple of times so it was 28 miles. My feet were like lumps of ice, in lumps of ice. And to top it all my gears (SRAM double-tap) started slipping so it's a trip to the shop tomorrow to get it sorted. I think the ride would have been okay without the backpack and a double pair of socks

A good distance to cover on the commute but as you found out the cold feet was a bigger hassle than the milage covered, I get the same problem in very cold weather!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
